Mariana, known as "Ina", has built her reputation on her listening ability. "I listen carefully to my clients and work to get what they want, not what I might think they want!"

Throughout her career, Ina represented both local and international sellers, buyers and renters. After finding their new home she assists them in selling or renting their current property.

Ina loves the challenge of procuring the right home for her customers, even going further in helping them with designers, contractors and movers.

In 2005 Ina was nominated by REBNY for "The Deal Of The Year."

Ina joined Halstead Property after being associated with Atco Residential Group for over 11 years.

Ina was born in Bucharest, Romania where she was a Metallurgical Engineer for a Research Institute.

Ina and her business partner, George R. Penny work different aspects of each transaction with professionalism and competence with a combined experience of over 35 years in real estate.

One or both of them is always available to assist their customers in the process for a smooth and succesful transaction.

George R. Penny

For over 20 years, George has been actively engaged in the sale and rental of apartments in and around Manhattan. He comes from a real estate family - his mother works with a prominent developer and his father owns a fire protection company. It is no surprise, then, that George knows buildings from the basement to the penthouse. George draws upon his extensive experience to help his buyers successfully find and then smoothly close on their new dream home. Of course, he also knows how to effectively work with sellers, walking them through the creative and complex steps required of a successful sale.

George started his real estate career in 1982, working as an on-site agent in new construction/condominium sales at the Columbia Condominium on West 96th Street. Subsequently, he became the manager of multiple on-site cooperative conversions in Manhattan, Queens, Riverdale, Westchester and New Jersey. He has overseen the entire sales process on numerous projects, including the property renovations.

George is an expert on Manhattan's West Side, Midtown, and his own neighborhood of Murray Hill, where he can be spotted walking his English Bull Terrier, Lucy. He is a member of the Manhattan Association of Cabaret & Clubs, and has assisted many performing artists and club owners in finding, and profiting from their homes. When time permits, George likes to spend time at his favorite getaway, a cottage in the Camden/Rockport area of Maine.
